The Division of Biomedical Informatics is the academic home for  the Institute for Biomedical Informatics at the University of Kentucky. Division faculty offer informatics courses and conduct basic and applied research.

Biomedical Informatics is the interdisciplinary scientific study of data and their relationships to improve human health.  It draws upon expertise in many fields, including medicine, biology, mathematics, computer science, software engineering and others, to drive innovation in health care.
